Caro Emerald (real name: Caroline Esmeralda van der Leeuw) is a Dutch jazz singer.

Caro first gained public recognition in her homeland of the Netherlands for her debut single "Back It Up". The single was initially written for a Japanese pop group, by a Dutch team of producers and writers who had previously worked with artists including 'N Sync and Atomic Kitten.
