P!nk (real name: Alecia Beth Moore) is a singer-songwriter and musician from Pennsylvania, USA.
In the late nineties she was one-third of 'Choice', an American contemporary R&B girl group.
Following her first solo album - the R&B, urban-influenced 'Can't Take Me Home' - she collaborated with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, and Mýa to record a version of "Lady Marmalade" for the soundtrack of the film Moulin Rouge!
On her second album, 2001's 'M!ssundazstood', Pink took her sound in a new direction and recruited Linda Perry, former singer of 4 Non Blondes, to co-write many of the songs. The result was a more pop-rock oriented sound that would become her trademark.
