Usher (full name: Usher Terry Raymond IV) as one of the best-selling artists in American music history, having sold over 23 million copies in the United States alone.
Usher's break came aged 13 when he competed on TV talen show 'Star Search'. He was spotted by an A&R representative from LaFace Records and signed to a recording deal. Usher's self-titled debut album was co-prduced by Sean "P Diddy" Combs.
For his second album Usher developed a writing partnership with producer Jermaine Dupri. The album's lead single, "You Make Me Wanna" was a massive hit that catapulted Usher to stardom.
Usher has dated former TLC member Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and English supermodel Naomi Campbell. In 2007 he married stylist Tameka Foster. The couple have two children. Usher filed for divorce in 2009.
