Jedward are identical twins John and Edward Grimes.
John & Edward rose to prominence on the sixth series of British reality show The X Factor in 2009. They were mentored by Louis Walsh and performed chaotic versions of Robbie Williams' 'Rock DJ', 'The Theme From Ghostbusters' and Britney Spears' 'Oops... I Did It Again' among others.
Jedward represented Ireland at the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest in Düsseldorf. Their song "Lipstick" achieved 8th place. In 2011 they also appeared in Channel 5's inaugural series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Known for their blonde quiffs and ridiculous fashion sense, they hail from Dublin in Ireland.
